

In the spirit of the American West...
We invite the adventurers, hunters, ranchers, cowboys, survivalists, explorers, or people who just want to have fun doing something challenging and exciting, to the Western Run and Gun Challenge:
An action shooting obstacle course where participants combine the athletic skills of climbing, jumping, and running with fast and precise marksmanship using a lever action rifle!
There is no skill requirement for these retreats, however all students must be legally allowed to possess a firearm in the USA. All ammunition and firearms are provided.

RETREAT ACTIVITIES
DRY FIRE & SAFETY BRIEF
In this crucial training aspect, participants will learn the fundamentals of marksmanship and firearms safety. We will then practice grip, sight picture, trigger pull, and reloading, all while using unloaded firearms.
SAFE CARRY METHODS FOR RUNNING WITH A RIFLE
Participants practice the most efficient ways to run, vault, and climb with a rifle to prepare for the action shooting course.
DYNAMIC SHOOTING
Retreat guests will be introduced to fundamentals Lever-Rifle use as it pertains to action shooting including transitioning between targets and safely moving while shooting.
SHOOTING COMPETITION
Guests will enjoy a friendly contest that includes running, climbing, vaulting, and shooting in multiple stages of varying lengths and difficulties.

- Sleeping Accommodations on Satuday night
- Lunch and Dinner provided Saturday
- Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner provided Sunday
- Four live-fire training sessions over the weekend

Frequently Asked Questions
May I attend this retreat?
If you are a Guidance Shooting Club member, are accompanying an alumni, or have been invited personally, you may register. If you are completely new to the Guidance Shooting Club, please check out our Private Lesson section to get involved!
Is there a dress code?
Yes. Attendees are expected to dress appropriately for the experience. Outfits should be semi-formal outdoor attire. They should be comprised of natural looking materials. Examples of acceptable clothing are button down or Henley shirts, waistcoats, wool or canvas jackets, cowboy hats, and flat caps. No bright synthetic materials or logos, and no t-shirts.
