
Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun
The tools of the well rounded marksman. In this retreat, participants will develop the skills required to use each of these effectively in vintage 3-gun matches, often referred to as 'Wild Bunch' action shooting.
There is no skill requirement for these retreats, however all students must be legally allowed to possess a firearm in the USA. All ammunition and firearms are provided.

RETREAT ACTIVITIES
DRY FIRE & SAFETY BRIEF
In this crucial training aspect, participants will learn the fundamentals of marksmanship and firearms safety. We will then practice grip, sight picture, trigger pull, and reloading, all while using unloaded firearms.
Colt 1911 - Pistol
Participants will learn the ins and outs of using America's most famous handgun, the 1911. This gun has been apart of American militarily tradition since the first World War.
We will also use a modern Walther p22 Semi-Auto Pistol.
Winchester 1873 - Rifle
Retreat guests will be introduced to fundamentals Lever-Rifle use as it pertains to action shooting using a variety of guns, including the legendary 1873.
We will also use a modern Henry Golden Boy Lever Rifle.
Winchester 1897 - Shotgun
The pump shotgun used at the sunset of the Wild West, and deployed by US soldiers in both World Wars, the 1897 is a master crafted shotgun that is still used in competition today. Guests will get the opportunity to fire one of these that is over 100 years old.
We will also use a modern Mossberg 590s Pump Shotgun.

Frequently Asked Questions
May I attend these camp?
If you are a Guidance Shooting Club member, are accompanying an alumni, or have been invited personally, you may register. If you are completely new to the Guidance Shooting Club, please check out our Private Lesson section to get involved!
Is there a dress code?
Yes. Attendees are expected to dress appropriately for the experience, including turn of the century formal hunting wear, or rustic working clothes of natural fibers with no brand labels. No t-shirts or sneakers.
